Cubiks PAPI

The PAPI (Personality and Preference Inventory) personality tests are extremely well known, especially in France, where more than 10% of recruiters use them. They are published by Cubiks, a test editor recognized worldwide.

There are two different PAPI tests:

  1. PAPI I (ipsative): This ipsative (forced choice) questionnaire was designed specifically for the professional sphere. It has no time limit but lasts between 25 and 30 minutes. The candidate must face 30 groups of three statements and choose which one corresponds to him/her the most and which one the least.
  2. PAPI N (normative): This questionnaire is designed to make comparisons between different individuals. It is particularly used during recruitment processes, especially when selecting between different candidates for the same position. The duration of the test is also between 25 and 30 minutes, although there is no time limit. In this test, the candidate is confronted with 126 questions in the form of statements which he/she must rate on a scale of 1 to 7, where 1 is 'strongly disagree' and 7 is 'strongly agree'.

The Different Personalities (Types or Traits)

The PAPI test assesses 26 personality dimensions divided into 7 key areas.
